Of course, now that I look at the picture of the self-designed socks, I can see all the mistakes. I'm NOT re-doing them, I'm finishing them in the delusional hope that the intended recipient will not notice where I messed up the pattern.

NO! Don't undo them. Someone told me other day they are not mistakes, they are 'unique design features!'

You can see them...but I don't think anyone else will. They look pretty darned good from this end. Nice job!
